I am so happy to be a part of Write Tribe Problogger October 2017 Blogging Challenge. Today’s challenge had been fun and exciting and I am looking forward to the rest of this blog fest with equal anticipation.
Taking hints from today’s prompt, I went out looking for inspiration, searching patterns in Nature. And Nature threw me a plethora of them. A long weekend with family leaves me with little time for blogging, so I was a little hard press to post today’s challenge. Nevertheless, the pictures turned out beautiful and made the search for patterns absolutely worth it.
If you head out and look around you, you will be surprised to find so many beautiful patterns hidden in plain view. From mottled shells to zebra stripes, geometric beehives and rippling sand dunes, Nature has its own secret design of bringing order into the universal chaos. And although Nature might be erratic and tumultuous, perfection is best left to Nature. I found these gems while walking across the beaches of Mahabalipuram.
Some of Mankind’s greatest creations have been inspired by Nature. Even these humble knots add to the drama.

Animals with patterned skin is not uncommon, and though Biology is responsible for that, I can’t help but think that maybe Nature secretly knows what it is doing.
Patterns are essential for our mind to make sense of the infinite possibilities of this world. And not surprisingly, the human brain is wired to recognise patterns. Throughout the evolution of mankind, patterns in and around the environment help us understand the past and then anticipate the future. After all, we do derive a sense of comfort in the familiar and the known.
